1. WHAT IS AAU? The Amateur Athletic Union is a national organization dedicated to amateur sports and physical fitness programs. Check out our Links section for more detailed information.

2. HOW LONG IS THE AAU SEASON (Practices/Tournament)? The season depends on the program.
We guarantee that each team will participate in at least 5 Tournaments. Spring Season (March - June): 1-2 practices/week spread out through 5-10 tournament weekends.  Fall Season (Sept. - Nov.): 1 practice/week & 3-4 tournament weekends. Typically four games are played per weekend (2 on Sat./2 on Sun). Some tournaments schedule games on Fri night.  Some teams can go longer into the summer through July.  Ask your coach about season plans.

3. HOW ARE THE AGE GROUPS DETERMINED? Visit the New England AAU Age Eligibility sites and our Age Calculator

4. HOW DOES MY SON/DAUGHTER BECOME A BLUE DEVIL? Register and come to the tryouts. The Blue Devil’s typically have tryouts in February.  No player is guaranteed a spot on any team, returning or new.

5. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SON/DAUGHTER CAN'T MAKE ALL THE TRYOUTS?  Please contact the tryout coordinator.  The more tryouts a player can attend betters his/her chances of being evaluated properly.

6. WHERE ARE THE BLUE DEVIL’S FROM AND WHAT ARE THE BLUE DEVIL COLORS AND LOGO? Our team colors are navy blue and white. Our logo is the Blue Devil.  We have players that commonly come from Ashland, Hopkinton, Holliston, Millis, Medfield, Medway, Wayland, Dover, Sherborn, Bellingham, Southboro, Natick, Framingham, and several other towns throughout Massachusetts.

7. WHAT TYPE OF COMMITMENT IS INVOLVED WITH THE BLUE DEVIL?
Each player is expected to make every attempt to attend all games and all practices.  We expect Blue Devil's games and practices to take priority.  However, there are always conflicts and communication with the coaches is crucial.  Advanced warning allows for any necessary adjustments in practices, scrimmages, play review, or game plans.  Please communicate with your coach.

8. WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF THE BLUE DEVIL? The Blue Devil's support the true spirit of AAU athletics. Our coach’s philosophy and commitment to each individual team member makes our players loyal to our program.

9. WHO ARE THE BLUE DEVIL COACHES?   Our coaches are former high school coaches and travel team coaches.
They love the game of basketball and take pride in teaching the game and further develop the girls and boys skills and foster the love for the game of basketball.

10. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BE A BLUE DEVIL? We try to keep fees to a minimum. Unlike some programs the Blue Devil coaches do not get paid. The fee is determined by the number of tournaments entered and the cost of gym time. Typically 5-6 spring tournaments is $450-$600 per player  (Fees might change depending on increase in tournament fees and cost of gym time).  Teams can decide to enter additional tournaments at the team's expense.  Uniforms and travel expenses are not included.
